Who we are
Redprint Studios is run by Jack Parry in Liverpool. It isn’t a limited company, so Jack decides what this website keeps and why, and is responsible for it. For anything on this page, email us at jackparry@redprintstudios.com.
What the website keeps
- The free check. When a store is checked, we keep a note of its web address, its name, the result (how many of its sizes were sold out, out of how many) and its currency, with the date and time. We don’t keep the sales figure or the lead time you type. Those stay in your browser.
- What our web host adds. Netlify, the company that hosts this site, stores the note for us and records the IP address and browser details of whoever ran the check, plus the address of this site.
- Emails. If you email us, including through the buttons on this site, we keep the email so we can reply.
There are no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools and no adverts on this site. When you check a store, your browser reads that store’s public product pages, the same as visiting them. The store isn’t told which site sent you.
Why we keep it
To see which stores the free check is used on, to make it work better, and so we can get in touch with a store about its result. The legal basis is legitimate interests: a small business finding out who its free tool is useful to, keeping as little as possible to do that. You can object at any time and we’ll stop.
Who sees it
Only Jack. Netlify stores the notes on our behalf under its data processing agreement. It’s a US company, so they may be kept outside the UK. We don’t sell or share them with anyone else. Netlify’s own privacy policy covers what it does when it hosts a site: netlify.com/privacy.
How long we keep it
We delete check notes after 12 months, or sooner if you ask. Emails are kept for as long as we’re talking, then up to 12 months after.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email us and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
